I made a loss today, there was nothing I could do
Just watched it slip away, a bit like I did with you

The birds are singing and now I am too

I missed a chance today, just stood and watched it rolling by
I could’ve been out there making hay, but there’s no sun left in the sky
And now the weather girl, she says it looks like snow
I’m going to grab my sled and just you watch me go

The news was bad today, seems like the world’s out of control
And we’ll all have to pay to dig ourselves out of this hole

I’m going to run outside and get myself soaked right through
