ON
THE ROAD -
Well, off the road, actually, following a small run of gigs
including Edinburgh's Silencio Cabaret, two days at the Trowse
Festival in Norfolk, an appearance at Rab's Lab at the Borderline
Theatre, Ayr, for which Woodstock penned new tunes to some
of Robert Burns' timeless poetry, and a slot at la Fête
Nationale de la Musique at l'Institut Français d'Ecosse.
Amongst the many other acts performing at this annual extravanganza
were Norman Lamont and The Innocents, Stuart Hanratty and
Peter Michael Rowan, old friends from Edinburgh Songwriters'
Showcase days. Two more important faces from that time, Martin
Morrey and Craze, were in the audience, so there was much
talk of a collective noun for songwriters...
