WOODSTOCK'S FESTIVAL
During the Edinburgh Fringe Woodstock played a very successful solo set at the main stage for the Arts for Life Festival in Prince's Street Gardens, which was webcast live around the world. The picture below is actually from a gig she did there a couple of years ago, but it's the same idea. A couple of weeks later Woody appeared live on Festival FM Radio to showcase three tracks from the forthcoming solo album, Wonderful Life. The presenters said they'd never heard anything quite like it, so her mission was accomplished.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE
On Aug 7 Woodstock contributed a solo set to the opening gala concert of the Edinburgh People's Festival, at the Jack Kane Centre in Craigmillar. Inspired by the original aims of the Edinburgh People's Festival 1951-54, namely, a celebration of the arts 'for the people, by the people', the festival was set up to acknowledge the contribution made by Councillor Jack Kane and the lately departed Hamish Henderson, an old friend of Woodstock's late father. It was a superb night with a real mix of high quality performances from a range of local artists, and a lively, appreciative audience. Loads of fun.
