Woodstock's new solo
album of demos, Wonderful
Life, is now on sale. To see
what's on it, click on the CD cover above. The songs
are mainly "vintage Woodstock" given an update
and a quick coat of paint, but there are a couple of
new ones lurking in there too. If you're interested
in getting hold of it, great - but do bear in mind these
are demos so don't go expecting anything too glossy.
An advance EP, Emotional
At Airports, is also available,
containing four songs from Wonderful
Life plus an exclusive bonus
acoustic track - Albert
Bridge In the Rain. Click on
"order" to find out how to order both CDs (simple,
eh?). Free downloads of the album's title track, Wonderful
Life, and of Albert Bridge In the Rain,
are available for a limited time at the Alien
Juke Joint. The Juke Joint will be
closing down soon, so get it while you can.
Woodstock describes the music on
Wonderful Life as "what happens when an eccentric
with no production experience tries to be mainstream.
A bizarre marriage of lo-fi cheese, deep lounge, raggedy
acoustic and gloriously shonky midi from a planet where
that kind of thing's OK. I think it kinda works." It will
definitely not sound like anything else you've heard.
Guaranteed.
