REALLY someone else's turn

Well Tongue Tied floated back to #1 for another three weeks shortly after the previous update, but has now been well and truly voted down, slipping from #1 into the mid-30s yesterday.

Still - seven months is an EXTREMELY long time in the music business.

It's been real. Love ya. Call me.

Someone else's turn

After 6 months, most of which was spent at the top of the Blues charts at mp3unsigned.com, Woodstock has been toppled by the excellent Maria Daines with her rockin' track "Too Bad Henry".

Tongue Tied is still a respectable #2, however.

Six months at #1 for Tongue-Tied

update - May 29, 2005 (Woodstock's birthday!)

Another blues gem from Henry Correy took over the #1 spot for a few days, but checking the chart today, Tongue-Tied is back at the top.

Still there

update - April 08, 2005

Aussie bluesman (and old mate of Woody's) Henry Correy knocked Tongue-Tied off its #1 perch in the Blues chart at mp3unsigned.com for a couple of days last week but Woody is now back at Number One, over three months after getting there in the first place.

Still there...

JJ & the burning machine are creeping up behind, though, so please feel free to vote for Woodstock Taylor (see below for how) and help reinforce one small British songwriter's delusions of impending world domination. It would be a kindness.

update - March 22, 2005

It looked as though it was all over for Tongue-Tied last week as Henry Correy and The Correydors bounded straight into the top two spots at mp3unsigned.com with their latest two releases. But astonishingly (because Henry is one of Australia's leading bluesmen) Woodstock's song beat off the competition and after 12 weeks is STILL sitting at Number One in the chart.

Thanks so much if you voted - and don't be shy about voting if you haven't already... in fact I understand that even if you have your vote will be counted as new if it's made on a different day, so you're more than welcome to vote again!

update - February 22, 2005

Tongue-Tied, by Woodstock Taylor & The Aliens, has entered its ninth week at the top of the Blues Chart at mp3unsigned.com, still just ahead of Henry Correy and The Correydors.

Which is cool.

update - January 29, 2005

Yes - a month at #1 for Tongue-Tied!! Henry Correy's still at #2 - with two more in the top ten, so this is one rockin' blues chart!

update - January 18, 2005

Three weeks now and it's still there!! But Woodstock's mate Henry Correy is at #2 now, biting her heels....

TONGUE-TIED MAKES
NUMBER ONE IN BLUES

After almost three weeks at #2, Tongue-Tied, by Woodstock Taylor & The Aliens, has topped the Blues Charts at mp3unsigned.com. It's a second Number One at the music site following a success for Right Thing in the Pop Chart there in November.

Starring Brian Willoughby on guitar and Zoot Money, who also produced the track, on keyboards, Tongue-Tied was recently hailed by star Garageband reviewer CJ Denecia as "the most commercial" track from the new compilation Welcome To Planet Woodstock. The song's former adventures include inclusion on the CD Big Note Songwriters Recorded At Carm Studios (Big Note supremo Marc Johnson is co-producer of the recording) and on the sellout advance sampler from Road Movie (the Director's Cut), which was entitled Sunny Days In London, after a line in the song.

Nice to know it can still do the business.

All colossally high ratings will be gratefully received - for any of the three songs on mp3unsigned.com: Tongue-Tied, F U or Right Thing.

Many thanks to those who have voted already.
