WOODSTOCK
GIGGING WITH THUNDERCLAP
Jan
17 2006 sees
the official launch at York House, Twickenham, under the
banner of Richmond's Eel Pie Club, of Pick'n'Tell, the album
from Thunderclap (featuring Goodmoney). This will be followed
by a series of live dates at various spots around the UK.
Woodstock
will be joining the live band as a backing vocalist, and
will also be performing a short set of her own songs as
part of the show.
Due for release on
Jan 31 on the Speakeasy record label, which is distributed
via Pinnacle and Voiceprint, the CD boasts Zoot Money on
lead vocals in a new collection of songs by Pete Goodall
(guitarist in the original Thunderclap Newman touring band,
who has kept the rights to the name) and Pete Brown, who
also plays percussion on most of the tracks. On sax, the
late Dick Heckstall Smith makes one of his last recorded
appearances.
The CD also boasts
the critically acclaimed remake, produced by Simon Hanhart,
of Thunderclap Newman's 1969 hit Something In The Air, again
with Zoot on vocals.
See the gigs page
on this site for more details of the tour, and check out
