PRESS RELEASE In response to the Asian Tsunami disaster, independent unsigned musicians from seven countries - the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong/China, Austria, England and Scotland, have banded together to form Independent Artist Aid. The result is a 17-song compilation CD: "Hope Never Dies." Most of the artists have never met in person. Their relationships were formed over the Internet in the messageboards at Garageband.com and new online music distributor IndieNetunes.com. Every one of the participants: artists, engineer, designer and all the organisers behind the scenes, has donated their recorded material and services free of charge, delivering the CD ready for purchase within one month of the initial idea. All profits from sales will be sent to the Mercy Corps (http://www.mercycorps.org). The Mercy Corps was chosen because it has a reputation for integrity, ethical dealings and efficient delivery of the goods where they are needed most. Over 91% of their resources go directly to humanitarian programs. The CD can be purchased online for $12.50 from IndieNetunes.com: http://www.indienetunes.com. Please use the materials in this press pack to help us spread the word about this project and raise money for the victims of this terrible catastrophe. We hope you'll enjoy the music too!
